ANA WASSMER

Ana highlights something she observes in her experience with dyslexia: people can
to achieve the same task through different strategies and paths. For her, this diversity
different ways of thinking is one of the interesting parts of the experience.

FIRST SKETCHES

The natural features of Rio de Janeiro's hills can be considered the city's first sketches, designed by nature. The topography challenged concrete to contour the terrain, merging modern architecture with the monumentality of the forest. In this process of interplay between the terrain and bays, the streets and neighborhoods followed the precise layout imposed by the imposing nature of the coastline. The natural landscape was not merely a decorative backdrop, but the very matrix that ordered the city's expansion. Thus, present-day Rio de Janeiro remains a living canvas where nature's design, the city's original sketch, still governs the form and flow of each street.

Photography has always interested me since I was a child. I remember when I got my first camera: I would go around the house, down the street, taking pictures of everything.

Over time, I developed more curiosity, and photography became something that brings me a certain peace. Although it's not something that guides my life as a career, it's something that has been with me from a young age until today.

I think art has been a part of my life since I was a child. It's always been very present in our home. I even tell people: we're not a family of athletes, of sporty people. We're a family of art.
