HISTORY
DREAMS, ENCOUNTERS, EXPERIENCES
The exhibition was born as a manifesto, and a manifesto is a provocation. It aims to provoke not only by highlighting the creative talent of dyslexic individuals, but also through its innovative format.
Use your Instagram feed like an art gallery, showcasing an artist and their work in each post, and like a gallery displaying all its pieces at a vernissage, driving the algorithm crazy as it doesn't expect the flood of posts in quick succession.
This choice also reflects a desire to include:
• With its accessible format - online and free
• In the selection of artists - established and emerging
• Breaking down borders - Brazilian and foreign artists
• By embracing all forms of art – representing diverse aspects
In its first edition in 2020, the exhibition featured...
12 artists, in 2021, that number grows to
18 artists and maintain their format on Instagram.
In its 3rd edition in 2022, already featuring 25 artists from around the world, the exhibition expands beyond the horizons of social media and inaugurates a virtual gallery that provides an immersive experience for visitors.
The gallery in the metaverse allows for the insertion of diverse works in an elegant and innovative environment, and guarantees visitors numerous possibilities for in-depth exploration, connection, and contemplation.
It is also in this edition that the Exhibition gains a presence in the real world with in-person events in Florianópolis/SC and São Paulo/SP, where the public is offered a guided tour of the virtual gallery and a relaxed chat with some of the participating artists and the exhibition producers. The event raises awareness about the importance of a new perspective on dyslexia.

The 4th edition in 2023 will have a physical space steeped in history.
Almost symbolically, in its first in-person experience, the Dyslexia as Art Exhibition is installed at the Museum of the Catarinense School, a historic building in the city of Florianópolis, which also housed the first Faculty of Education in Brazil.
The 5th edition, in September 2024, will once again take place at MESC | Florianópolis, extending its duration and featuring artists from more than 12 countries.
With the in-person exhibition, it became possible to schedule guided tours for schools, with the participation of students.
In 2025, for its 6th edition, the exhibition will have a new space at the CIC, a space dedicated to culture, art, music and theater, with an excellent location that has allowed for an increase in the number of guided school visits, the offering of workshops with the artists of the exhibition and conversations led by artists and experts.
The exhibition also has a traveling version, where a compact installation presents the artists and their work to new audiences.
In 2025, the Traveling Exhibition was in Tubarão, Chapecó, and Joinville, in Santa Catarina.
In 2026, she performed in São Paulo at the Unibes Cultural Center, as well as in Itapecerica da Serra and Bragança Paulista.
