UBUNTU
The project's name comes from an African philosophy that emphasizes interconnection and shared humanity. Translated as "I am because we are," or "humanity toward others," Ubuntu emphasizes the importance of relationships and collective well-being. To accomplish this endeavor, over a decade ago, the artist traveled to approximately 15 countries, having the opportunity to observe how people face difficult times. The selected photographs present visions of human beings in space, facing difficulties and finding their own solutions. The devices presented in each image go beyond factual journalistic documentation. They seek to penetrate the processes of human beings dealing with difficulties and present their own creative and surprising responses that allow them to continue on their journey even when the situation seems completely opposite.
