MARCELO SOUZA
Marcelo Fernando de Souza has been working since 1990 in various theatrical productions for adults and children, participating in theater festivals in several regions of Brazil. In 1995 he received the Best Actor Award at the Teresina National Theater Festival for the play *O Homem com a Flor na Boca* (The Man with the Flower in His Mouth). He has also acted in plays such as *Macbeth* (1992), *Piquenique no Front* (Picnic on the Front) (1993), *Ladies and Gentlemen* (1993), and *Negro Olhar* (Black Gaze) (1994). Since 1996 he has maintained in his repertoire the solo show *Brincando de Bonecos* (Playing with Puppets), for which he received awards for best show, best actor, and best dramaturgy. From 2003 he joined the Experimentus Company, with which he continues to work today in productions such as *O Menino do Dedo Verde* (The Boy with the Green Finger) (2002) and other shows. He wrote around twenty theatrical texts and directed shows such as A Bolsa Amarela (2014), Crimes Delicados (2006), O Menino Maluquinho (2006), among others.

I attended a mainstream school despite recommendations for a special school, as I was diagnosed at age 9 with severe dyslexia and psychomotor coordination problems. I went through the difficulties and bullying that everyone knows well, which made me hide my dyslexia for over thirty years. Initially, I even doubted my own intelligence.
I believe that this daily exercise of constructing pathways in my mind has generated asymmetrical thinking, which enhances my creativity, since my brain was unable to follow the "standard" path.
