FAR I GO
"My past is only dust/That comes up in the rear view/That the wind takes/That the wind spreads/Little matters cause in the road I go far". The initial verses of the song "I go far", from the album "Nomad", by Renato Godá, represent well the artistic production and the living journey of a singer and songwriter that had your music described by the well known english magazine Timeout as one "appetizing caldron that mixes jazz sounds, folk, country and chanson to the brazilian sounds". Facing an academic career without conclusion and insecurities and frustrations from dealing with the considered "normal" and "correct", developed, since his childhood, an imaginary world that occupied his brain while the traditional classes didn't end. A light came when a teacher, when he was 14 years old, suggested reading the poet Charles Bukowski, who he loved. The diagnosis for dyslexia took a long time to arrive, but came as a wind of relief and freedom. As the song says: "With my used boots I go far/ With my uncertain destiny I go far".

MAYBE YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND
Renato Godá's musicality, whether in rhythm or words, takes place in the universe of sensitivity. As the song says, it is in “unmeasured passions” that life, for the most part, is fufilled. The dances of the journey of existence are with both “angels” and “demons” in the act of creating “impossible dreams”, those that art gives some kind of shape, in the dialogues between the heart and the intellect between feeling and thinking.

BEING WHO I AM
The song delicately and powerfully discusses the importance of accepting others as they are. The lyrics, music, and voice create a striking reminder that people hould be seen not as fixed points, but as human complexities to be continuously discovered.

RENATO
by himself
Dyslexia is my natural state, I'm almost 50 years old and I can't imagine myself any different. During this time I experienced all the classic difficulties, such as an academic career without conclusion, the insecurities that came from the frustrations with the inability to adapt to what was actually seen (at least where I tried to study) as normal and correct. I also experienced the possibility of developing myself creatively from a very early age, because at the same time that my focus was completely lost and I distanced myself from my classmates (already at six, seven years old), an entire imaginary universe invaded my head. , after all, she needed to get busy while the sign that announced the end of classes took a while to arrive. It took me a while to be diagnosed, but when I was, it was like a breath of relief and freedom.
