Affection as a Tool
The video discusses essential elements of what affect is. Much more than subjective experiences, it can be seen as the lived experiences of feelings, emotions, and moods that range from joy and affection to sadness or anger. As the work points out, it arises from external influences and constitutes the basis of our psychic life, being decisive in how each person relates to themselves, to their family (whether by blood ties or not), to society, and to the world. In this sense, affect is a tool that moves and affects each of us in different ways.
