VANIA CÁUS
Vania Cáus is a sculptor from Espírito Santo, and it is through art, especially the language of mosaics with references to the work of the Spanish artist Gaudí, that she is able to understand and connect with the world.
With numerous exhibitions throughout his career, he also has large-scale public works and irreverent urban interventions with his mosaics.

POT DISHES
Of indigenous origin, the craft of the Goiabeiras potters in Vitória, Espírito Santo, is recognized as intangible heritage by the National Institute of Historic and Artistic Heritage (Iphan). The place maintains the tradition, passed down from mothers to daughters and granddaughters, of transforming clay into pots, which do not require a potter's wheel or kiln, being hand-shaped and fired in the open air.
Through the language of mosaics, Vania Cáus created a monument, awarded a grant from the Municipality of Vitória with resources from FUNCULTURA through the Aldir Blanc Law, which honors the activity, focusing on the ancestral way of making the pots and the leading role of these women in relation to the activity.

Love is learned by loving.
Art is a way of communicating with the world through images. The mosaic technique constitutes the form through which representations such as Iemanjá or the Holy Spirit emerge within a perspective that makes each work the result of a plastic conception in which the composition and dialogue between colors bring concepts of balance, peace, and harmony that enhance the final result as an expression of a permanently renewing feeling of dialogue with oneself, with society, and with the universe.

The best place in the world is inside a hug.
Visualizing a hug evokes feelings of affection, love, and tenderness, as it establishes an intimate and healthy connection between people, benefiting both the giver and the receiver. The image reinforces the concept that the act of hugging transcends any differences between people, whether ethnic or cultural. It is a seemingly simple action, but one laden with emotion. Thus, it calms the distressed, strengthens friendships, and tightens family ties, sharing emotions and creating emotional bonds.

THE MACHINE OF THE WORLD
The starting point of this work is the poem "The Machine of the World" by Carlos Drummond de Andrade. The title itself refers to the concept of some kind of technology that allows the world to function. In this sense, the work reflects on how the proposed composition views the world precisely as if it were a complex mechanism, which can be found both in the brain of each individual and in the cosmos as a whole.
